There are a number of excellent microphones available and used by hams with this radio. Some have features that integrate with the radio (all made by Yaesu) and some are third party microphones. The FT1000MP series of radios are capable of delivering superior transmit audio but every microphone must be interfaced correctly with the radio to avoid RF feedback and the menus must be set correctly to get the best quality audio for what you are attempting to do.
