One of the most amazing things about the FT1000MP series of radios is the amount of software that has been written that works with the radios.

You can control the radio through the CAT control, or get frequency, mode and other information to that will input directly into logging programs.

There are programs that will test the com ports and others that simulate the voice keyer etc.
